Human Relations in the Workplace
In my experience, the social aspect of a workplace is crucial to productivity and long-term success. I find I like to stay in a workplace and feel satisfied if the social and interpersonal dynamics are right. These dynamics are right and whole when there is trust and responsibility placed on each employee when there is the freedom to make decisions based on specialty, and there is a friendly and professional environment in which to work.
That being said, this aspect of productivity can't be overstated to the neglect of pay and benefits, which, in my opinion, are the central part of employee retention and quality of work.
